     GF Salsa verde chicken (for Mex Chick & Ava Soup

Ingredients
3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken white or dark meat
2 onions sliced
6 cloves garlic
1 24 oz jar of Salsa Verde
1/3 cup chicken bone broth or chicken broth
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs Paprika
2 tbs ground cumin
 
2 tsp Cilantro
2 tsp sea salt
2 tsp black pepper
2 bay leaves

Instructions
Preheat oven 325
Place all ingredients in a Dutch oven and stir to mix chicken in sauce well
Cover and place in oven for 3 hours. After 3 hours move lid to 1/2 to allow juices to evaporate.
Remove chicken from Dutch oven (reserve the sauce) and allow to cool slightly. Shred with a fork and add sauce back in. Serve as Tacos or with the Mexican Chicken and Avacodo Soup
