     Hot 'n Spicy Crab Dip with Crostini

Ingredients
FOR CROSTINI
1 (2 inch diameter) 15 inch long loaf baguette-style French bread
1/2 tsp salt
FOR CRAB DIP
1 lb lump crabmeat, picked over to remove all bits of cartilage
1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp chopped pickled jalapeno chilies
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp hot pepper sauce
1/2 tsp coarse ground black pepper
 
6 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 cup packed, shredded pepper-jack cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup prepared mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Trim ends of bread loaf, then cut loaf into 1/4 inch thick slices. Place the slices on a large baking sheet - or two baking sheets if needed. Brush olive oil on both sides of the bread slices. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Bake for about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove baking sheet from oven, turn slices over and bake for 3 to 4 minutes longer, or until golden and crusty. Set aside to cool.
Meanwhile, mix crabmeat, shredded pepper-jack cheese, jalapeno, mayonnaise, garlic, hot pepper sauce, and salt in bowl until blended. Spoon the mixture evenly into a 9 inch glass pie plate. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Bake for 25 minutes or until heated through, browned and bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes, then serve surrounded by the Crostini for dipping.
