     Cheesecake - Banana Split

1-1/2 Cups crushed graham crackers
1 Cup sugar, separated
1/3 Cup melted butter
2 pkg. cream cheese (not fat free)
20 oz can crushed pineapple, drained
4 sliced bananas
2 small packages instant vanilla pudding (3.4 oz each)
2 Cups cold milk
2 Cups cool whip, separated
10 maraschino cherries, drained and halved
Hershey's chocolate syrup (optional)
1/4 Cup chopped pecans (optional)

Combine graham crackers, 1/4 sugar and melted butter. Press into bottom of 9 X 13 dish. Freeze this for 10 minutes. Beat until smooth cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar. Spread over crust.
Spread drained crushed pineapple over cream cheese mixture. Spread bananas over the pineapple. Whisk pudding and milk until thick. Stir in 1 Cup cool whip. Spread this over the bananas.
Spread 1 more cup cool whip over the pudding mixture and top with cherries. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 5 hours.
Just before serving drizzle chocolate syrup over top diagonally and sprinkle pecans lightly over the top. Cut into 20 pieces. Use of flexible spatula to serve.
