     APPLESAUCE BRAN MUFFINS

1 1/2 C 10% BRAN CEREAL
1 1/2 C APPLESAUCE
1 EGG
1/4 C MELTED BUTTER
1/2 C PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1 1/2 C FLOUR
1 TAB BAKING POWDER
1 TEA CINNAMON
1/2 C RAISINS
 

Instructions
APPLESAUCE GLAZE- BLEND 1/2 C CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR WITH 1 TAB APPLESAUCE UNTIL SMOOTH
IN A SMALL BOWL MIX BRAN, APPLESAUCE, EGG, BUTTER AND BROWN SUGAR; LET STAND 5 MIN. IN A LARGE BOWL, BLEND FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND CINNAMON; STIR IN BRAN MIXTURE, JUST UNTIL BLENDED. (BATTER SHOULD BE LUMPY) STIR IN RAISINS, OPT. SPOON BATTER INTO MUFFIN TIN. BAKE AT 400 FOR 15 TO 18 MIN. COOL SLIGHTLY, DRIZZLE WITH APPLESAUCE GLAZE. SERVE WARM.
