     Sauerbraten ( Pot Roast)

Ingredients
3 lbs beef roast
1/2 c vinegar
1/2 c water
1 small onion
2 bay leaves
3 whole cloves
2 tsp salt
 

Instructions
Place roast into a bowl and add the other ingredients to the meat and set aside for at least 24 hours. Remove the beef from the liquid and place in 325 degree oven. When partly done pour the liquid back on and continue roasting for 2 to 3 hours. After the roast is done, remove the liquid and make a gravy from this liquid, adding a little water if necessary.
