1/4 Cup Shortening
1 1/4 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
3/4 Cup Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Milk, scalded
1 Egg
3 Teaspoons Baking Powder

Melt shortening in hot milk and pour over cornmeal. Add egg and remaining dry ingredients to milk mixture. Pour into an 8x8 inch pan. Bake at 425 degrees until done.
