Ingredients
3 Cups Sugar
1/2 Cup White Karo Syrup
1/2 Cup Water
2 Egg Whites, beaten until stiff
Vanilla Extract, to taste
English Walnuts, chopped, to taste
 

Instructions
Cook sugar, syrup, and water in a heavy saucepan until it spins a long thread.
Slowly add to the beaten egg whites. Beat until fudge-y.
Add vanilla extract and nuts. Pour into a buttered pan. Cover to store.
Serving Suggestions
Every Sunday afternoon in Ottumwa, Iowa, this was served along with Old Fashioned Rice Pudding.
