     White Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients
1 cup butter, cubed
1 cup water
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp almond extract
 
1/4 tsp baking soda
Frosting-
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/4 milk
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 cup chopped almonds

Instructions
In a large saucepan, bring butter and water to just a boil. Immediately remove from heat, stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, salt, baking powder, extract and soda until smooth.
Pour into a greased 15 inch X 10 inch X 1 inch baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees fro 18-22 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack fro 20 minutes.
For frosting- In a large saucepan, bring butter and milk just to a boil. Immediately remove from heat, stir in powdered sugar and extract. Spread over warm cake, sprinkle with almonds. Cool completely. 20 servings, 409 calories each, 19 g fat, 58 g carb, 1g fiber, 4 g protein.
