     Grandmother’s Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
Sauce
1 medium chopped onion
3 tbsp. minced garlic
1 ½ lbs. ground beef
4 12 oz. cans tomato paste
1 32 oz. can tomato sauce
½ cup dry red wine
Garlic powder & Oregano (dried)
Grated Parmesan cheese
 
3-4 tbsp. olive oil
6 links mild Italian sausage
Meatballs
Meatballs- 1 ½ lbs. ground beef
1 egg
½ onion chopped fine
2 tbsp. ketchup
Thin layer garlic powder & Thin layer oregano, 1 palm parmesan
½ palm bread crumbs

Instructions
Mix well and it if is too dry add 2 tbsp. milk. Roll into loose balls.
Brown sausage links and meat balls and set aside.
In a large stock pot on the stove, sauté garlic, onion and salt and pepper to taste in the olive oil over low heat until onion is translucent. Add ground beef and brown. Add red wine and tomato sauce. Add tomato paste and water until you have the desired consistency (should not be runny). Stir until mixed well over low heat. Add a covering layer of oregano and stir. Add a covering layer of garlic powder and stir.
Add a covering layer of parmesan and stir over low heat. Add browned meatballs and sausage links cut in half. Simmer for 3-4 hours.
