     Crockpot Chicken Wild Rice Soup

Ingredients
1/2 cup wild rice, uncooked rinsed
1 onion chopped
4-5 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup carrot, chopped
3/4 cup celery, chopped
1 lb chicken breast, boneless, skinless (2-3 breasts)
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
6 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
 
1-2 bay leaves
5 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk

Instructions
Put all ingredients (other than for roux) in crockpot. Cook on high for 4 hours. Remove checken after 3 1/2 hours and shred. Return to pot.
Melt butter, stir in flour then slowly stir in milk until thick. Stir into soup in crock pot until heated through. Yum!
Serving Suggestions
I used 1% milk, turned out fine. For richer creamy soup use half and half.
