     Hot Fruit Compote

Ingredients
1 - 28 oz can pear halves in heavy syrup
1 28 oz can peach halves in heavy syrup
1 20 oz can pineapple chunks in juice
1/2 c. dried apricots
1/2 c. dried prunes
1/2 c dried cherries
2 T brown sugar
1/4 c brandy
1/2 t. cinnamon
 
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/2 c. slivered almonds

Instructions
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Drain canned fruit, reserving syrup and juice, mix syrup and juice. Cut pears and peaches into bite-size pieces. Layer canned and dried fruit in 3 qt. casserole baking dish. Mix brown sugar and brandy, pour over fruit. Pour reserved juice mixture over fruit just until fruit is covered; discard remaining. Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg and almonds over fruit. Bake uncovered about 45 minutes or until bubbly. Serve warm or cool.

Dollop of whip cream or ice cream
