A Man's Cookies

Ingredients
-
 1/2 cup shortening
-
 1/2 cup brown sugar
-
 1/2 cup white sugar
-
 1 egg
-
 1 teaspoon vanilla
-
 1/2 teaspoon salt
-
 1 cup oatmeal
-
 1 cup flour
-
 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
 
-
 1/2 teaspoon soda
-
 1/2 cup coconut
-
 1/2 cup nuts
Instructions
Cream shortening and sugar; add egg anf vanilla; beat well. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Roll thin and cut into desired shapes.
Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
