1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion chipped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 jar spaghetti sauce
oregano, basil to taste
4 C cottage cheese
1 1/2 C mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/3 C parmesan cheese grated
2 eggs
1 TB fresh parsley chopped
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 pkg 16 oz lasagna noodles
1/2 C mozzarella cheese for topping

Preheat oven to 350. In large pot cook noodles as directed on pkg. Drain and cool noodles on clean towel, waxed paper, or foil.
In separate pan make the sauce- brown the meat, add onions, garlic, spices and sauce. Adjust with water to taste and thickness.
In another bowl combine filling. Assemble the lasagna in a glass 9x13 dish.
Assemble lasagna- 1/3 meat sauce on bottom, then pasta, 1/3 filling mixture. Sauce, pasta, filling. Repeat and end with sauce layer and put the extra cheese on top. COVER WITH FOIL and place dish on cookie sheet. Bake 45 min until hot and bubbly. Remove foil and cook 10 min more until slightly browned. Let stand 15- 25 min to set before serving.
