Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat ingredients for
bottom gooey layer until smooth and pour into
unbaked pie shell.
Beat butter and egg in large bowl; add sugar and
baking powder; then alternate adding milk and
flour, about 1/3 c each time. Beat until smooth,
then spoon the mixture over the gooey later in the
pie shell.
Bake for 35-40 minutes and check with toothpick
for doneness. Be sure to just check the top layer
of cake. Cool on wire rack before serving.
This pie keeps it's shape if you wait until
completely cool before cutting
