1 stick melted unsalted butter
2 cup warm milk
5/4 cup powdered sugar
4 eggs (separated)
1 tbsp water
1 c flour
2 tsp vanilla extract

preheat oven to 325 and spray 8x8
Beat egg yolks and powdered sugar until pale yellow. Mix in butter and water for ~2 minutes until evenly combined. Mix in flour until evenly incorporated. Slowly beat in milk and vanilla until well combined.
beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold into other mixture 1/3 at a time.
Pour into pan and bake 40-60 minutes until barely jiggly in the center. Cover with foil if browning at 40 minutes but not done. Dust with powdered sugar when completely cool
