Ingredients
1 12oz package uncooked GF penne or bowtie pasta
2 Tbs melted butter
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 lbs lean ground sirloin
1 1/2 medium sweet onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
 
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
Bechamel Sauce-
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup GF Red Mill baking 1 to 1 flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
4 cups whole milk
2 large eggs beaten

Instructions
Cook Pasta according to package directions maybe a bit longer to make it soft. Drain, Toss with butter, add grated Parmesan cheese, Transfer to a greased 13x9 baking dish.
Preheat oven to 350. In a large skillet, cook beef until browned, remove beef and set aside. Add onion to skillet and cook down, next add garlic and continue to cook. When cooked down add back meat to the skillet and cook for an additional 20 minutes.
Stir in tomato sauce, salt, nutmeg and heat through. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. In a large saucepan melt butter. Slowly stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth; gradually add heated milk. Bring to a boil, cook and stir until thickened.
In a small bowl, whisk a small amount of hot mixture into eggs; return all to the pan whisking constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes or longer. Place beef mixture in baking dish and pour sauce over beef. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake covered for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake for 30 more minutes or until golden brown.
