     My Maryland Crab Soup

Ingredients
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
28 oz can petite diced tomatoes
3 potates peeled and chopped
3 carrots peeled and chopped
1 large vidalia onion
1 sweet red pepper
1 can sweet corn (undrained)
1 can sweet peas (undrained)
1 lb crab meat
 
2 -3 tbsp's Old Bay (to taste)
56 ounces of water or veggie broth

Instructions
Add cans of tomatoes to heavy stock pot. Fill cans with water or broth and add to pot. peel and chop potatoes and carrots, add to pot, chop onion, add to pot. Finely dice sweet red pepper, add to pot. Add cans of corn and peas to pot (do not drain).
Bring soup to boil, once boiling set to simmer. Add Crab meat and Old Bay. Gently stir in the soup. Letter simmer until vegetables are tender. 30 to 45 minutes for flavor to marinate. Add spice to taste.
If picking crabs to add. Add cracked claws so soup soaks into meat and serve in soup.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with Crusty french bread and butter or crackers
