     Crowder Chowder

Ingredients
1 can Crowder Peas
1 T Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 Carrot, sliced
2 stalks Celery, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
1 can Chicken or Beef Broth concentrate - 1.3 cans H2O
1 large or 2 small cans of tomatoes and juice
1/4 t basil
 
1/4 t thyme or oregano
1/2 cup elbow macaroni

Instructions
Heat oil, add garlic, carrot, celery and onion. Salute 5 minutes. Add broth, tomatoes, basil, thyme, salt, pepper, and crowder peas. Simmer 10 minutes. Add macaroni. Cook 10-15 minutes. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
Substitute 2 cups of water and Better Than Bouillon for Canned soup.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with Jiffy Corn Muffins.
