     Nana's corn bread

Ingredients
1 cup self rising flour
1/2 cup self rising corn meal
1 egg
2 tbs sugar
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup crisco
 

Instructions
turn oven to 450 and put in case iron skillet to heat with the Crisco in it MIX DRY INGREDIENTS AND MAKE A WELL WITH THE BUTTERMILK STIR MIX IN ABOUT 2 TBS OF THE HOT CRISCO INTO THE BATTER AND MIX WELL POUR BATTER INTO HOT PAN AND PLACE BACK INTO THE HOT OVEN
COOK ABOUT 20 TO 25 MINUTES REMOVE AND POUR OUT ONTO A PLATE CUT AND SERVE IMMEDIATELY WITH BUTTER AND JELLY
