Drain and clean sardines (particularly vertebra
and any large bones/fins/etc.).
Put in bowl and crush them with a pestle (or a
fork if you don't have one).
Mix fromage frais, chives, shallots, lime
juice, and capers in a bowl. Salt and pepper.
Mash in sardines with a fork. Let blend in
refrigerator for an hour, minimum.
Serve with crackers or toasted baguette rounds
rubbed with a clove of garlic.
