3/4 tsp flaky salt, such as Maldon Sea Salt, fleur de sel, or kosher (or use a scant 1/4 tsp
regular table salt)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line an 8X8 in.
baking pan with foil, extending the foil over the edges
of the pan. Spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl stir together the sugar, butter,
egg, and vanilla. Mix in the flour, baking powder,
and baking soda. Add the chocolate chips and stir to
combine. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
Sprinkle the salt evenly over the batter. (Crumble
the salt with your fingers if the flakes are big)
3. Bake for 25 minutes, until lightly browned and a
wooden tooyhpick inserted near the center comes out
clean. Let cool in pan on a wire rack. Lift bars out
using the foil as handles and cut into 24 pieces
