     Popcorn - Caramel Corn

Ingredients
2 C brown sugar
1/2 C karo syrup, light or dark
2 squares butter (1 cup)
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp sale
1 tsp baking soda
6 quarts popcorn
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 200 degrees
On stove in saucepan combint brown sugar, karo, butter, cream of tartar, salt and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 min.
Place popped corn in a large, buttered pan.
Remove sugar mixture from heat and stir in baking soda. It bubbles quickly. Pour over popcorn and stir to combine. Spread on lined cookie sheet and bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour.
