Pour the vegetable oil into the slow cooker. Place roast over this. Put
barbecue sauce, apple cider and chicken broth.
Stir in yellow mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili
powder, onion, garlic and thyme.
Cover and cook on high for 5 to 6 hours, until roast comes apart with
a fork. Remove roast from slow cooke and shred. We like to add a
little more barbecue sauce to the meat, and serve.
