EVOO in bottom of stock pan, add the holy trinity and saute until onions are clear. Add the sauce, beans and water. Add your spices or meat to the mixture and let it come to a boil. After about 15-20 take the back of a wooden spoon and crush some of the beans (thickens the fagioli). Add the pasta and cook until done. Serve in a bowl with fresh parm on top and nice crispy homemade bread!
