     Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
2 cups flour (500 ml)
2 cups oats (500 ml)
1 cup brown sugar (250 ml)
1 tsp salt (5 ml)
1 cup lard or 1/2 cup butter
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup milk
 

Instructions
Combine flour, oats, sugar and salt. Rub in lard until crumbly. Dissolve soda in milk, stir into dry ingredients, mixing with fork. Roll our 1/8 inch thick, cut 2 1/2 inch rounds. Place on greased baking sheets.
Bake in 400 F oven for 8 minutes until golden brown.
