Cover chokecherries with water about 1 “ over the berries.
Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 1 hour - until the
juice is dark.
Drain and put through a cheesecloth.
Bring juice to a boil, add sugar, bring back to boil and boil for
5-10 minutes.
