In small saucepan scald milk (milk has begun to steam and show small bubbles or 180 degrees) then remove from burner. In small bowl, dissolve yeast in water. To scalded milk, add 6 Tbsp butter, sugar, and salt. Let cool down until warm. In large mixer bowl, beat eggs very well and add milk mixture, yeast, and 2 cups flour, beating well. Add 2 more cups flour and beat again. With wooden or slotted spoon, stir in 1 cup more flour then add the last cup of flour, mixing with spoon. Dough will be thick but sticky. Cover bowl and set aside to rise in a warm place, about 2 hours, stirring down every time dough reaches top of bowl.
