3-3 oz packages cream cheese (softened) - Can use 3 oz cream cheese and 6 oz Cheese Whiz
Butter or margarine (softened)
1/2 lb mushrooms, minced
1 large onion minced
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 cup sour cream
1 egg beaten
Instructions
Measure 1 1/2 cups flour, cheese and 1/2 cup butter together
and beat with mixer until well mixed. Wrap dough and
refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Cook mushrooms and onions in 3 tbsp butter until tender. Stir
in salt, thyme, 2 tbsp flour and sour cream.
On floured surface, thinly roll out 1/2 of dough, cut in 2 3/4 circles.
On 1/2 of circle place a tsp of mushroom mixture. Brush edges with egg and fold dough
over filling; with fork press edge together. Prick top.
Brush turnovers with egg.
Can freeze uncooked or cook at 450 F till brown.
