     Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
1 T flour
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
1 lb beef sirloin, cut in 1/4 inch strips
2 T butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup mushroom soup
garlic powder
1 T tomato juice (or ketchup)
1 1/4 cups beef broth
 
1 cup sour cream
2T cooking sherry (or red wine)

Instructions
Combine flour and salt. Dredge meat in mixture.
Heat skillet, add butter and saute onions; brown meat quickly. Add mushroom soup, garlic, tomato juice and broth. Simmer 45-60 minutes (until meat is tender).
Stir in sour cream and sherry. Do not let it boil. Serve over noodles.
