Meanwhile prepare filling
Heat 2 1/4 cups milk in top part of double boiler; add sugar.
Blend corn starch with remaining milk, add to heated mixture,
stirring until mixture thickens. Add salt, butter, beaten egg
yolks and vanilla. Stir well & turn into baked pie shell. Beat egg whites, add additional
salt, sugar and vanilla with remaining crumbs and brown in slow oven. Cool and serve.
