Ingredients
1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. sugar
 

Instructions
Mix together thoroughly shortening, sugar, and eggs. Sift together and stir in flour, soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Chill dough in refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour.
Roll into balls the size of a small walnut. Roll balls in mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Place 2 inches apart on un ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8 t 10 minutes in a 400 degree oven. Bake until browned, but still soft.
