In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt together. Slowly add the ingredients into the butter mixture and stir until combined. Fold in M and M's and chill for 1 hour. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
