     Mom’s Chili

Ingredients
2 lbs beef (reduce beef if wanted)
2 white onions (or 1 onion and celery)
2 cans kidney beans, rinsed
2 cans tomatoes
2 cans tomato paste
1 tbsp dijon
1/4 cup red wine
Dash lemon juice
2 tsp dill weed
 
1/4 cup chopped parsley or 1 tsp dried
4 cloves garlic, minced very fine
1 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Half a handful brown sugar

Instructions
Sauté beef, drain off the fat, then do the onion/celery. Reduce temp to the lowest you can. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well mixed. Cover and let simmer for an hour. This is to help the spices permeate the chili Add water to thin to taste.
