     Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
4 tbsp butter
1 chopped onion
2 1/2 tbsp flour
2 cups hot milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp basil
4 medium potatoes, sliced
 

Instructions
375 F oven Cook onion in butter. Add flour, cook for 1 minute. Pour in half of milk and cook. Add remaining milk, cream and spices. Stir well and cook for 10 minutes over low heat. Arrange 1/2 of potatoes, add half of sauce, repeat. Salt and pepper and cook covered 40-45 minutes. Cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
