Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Heat oil in skillet.
Simmer onions, peppers and garlic. Drain and set
aside.
Mix the beef, breadcrumbs, basil, egg, 1/2 of the sauce,
mushrooms and the onion mix. Place in loaf pan.
Mix the remaining sauce with the cheese and pour
over the meat.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
