     Beans - Molasses Smokehouse by Jackie

One, 15 oz. can Red Kidney Beans, drained
One, 15 oz. can White beans, drained
One, 15 oz. can Black beans, drained
1/4 lb. smoked bacon
1/2 lb. smoked sausage (more is not better)
1 onion, diced
1 Poblano or jalapeno pepper
1/3 Cup brown sugar
1/3 Cup molasses
1/4 Cup BBQ sauce
1/4 Cup ketchup
2 Tbl. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbl. Mustard
2 Tbl. Cider Vinegar

Dice the bacon into a large pot and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add onion and pepper to the bacon and cook until browned.
Add remaining ingredients to the pot and place in your oven at 225 deg. uncovered, for about 2 hours. If beans start to get dry add 1 Cup of water and cover..
This recipe is perfect to put on an outdoor smoker and will take on even more smoked flavor the longer it cooks.
NOTE- I thought they were even better made a day ahead. Really, really good.
