1 lb ground beef
|

1 medium onion chopped
|

1 t chili flakes
|

1 T gr cumin
|

2 10 oz cans tomato soup
|
|
2c chicken broth
|
|
1 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
|

3T chili powder
|
|
1 t black pepper
|
|

1 t salt
|

2 cans kidney beans
|
|
1 carrot finely chopped
|
|
2stalks celery finely chopped
|

Instructions |
|
|
Brown ground beef over medium high heat until well cooked. Drain to
remove fat.
|

|
Add onions, carrots, celery, red pepper flakes and half of the
cumin and cook until onion is tender.
|
|
|
Pour in tomato soup, chicken broth and crushed tomatoes. Season
with chilli powder salt and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.
|
|
|
Add drained and rinsed beans, season with remaining cumin and a pinch of
cayenne pepper. Simmer for another 30 minutes, to reduce and thicken.
