Turn pressure cooker to saute setting and melt
butter. Saute onion and carrots for about 5
minutes.
Add the split peas, chicken stock and ham bone.
Turn off saute funcition and pressure cook on high
for 15 minutes.
Allow pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes
then release. Stir and season with salt and
pepper. This soup will thicken naturally so add
additional stock if necessary.
