     Chicken Wings - Honey BBQ Slo Cooker No. 2

Ingredients
SPICE MIX -
1 Tbl. brown sugar
2 tsp. season salt
2 tsp. onion powdeer
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
HONEY BBQ SAUCE -
 
1 Cup BBQ sauce
1/2 Cup honey
2 Tbl. hot sauce (used Frank's original)
3 Tbl. apple juice or cider
4 lbs. chicken wings, patted dry
2 Tbl. cornstarch
Ranch dressing for dipping

Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the spice mix ingredients. Place the wings into the slow cooker and sprinkle the spice mix over the wings. Toss until all the wings are well coated.
In a small bowl, place all the Honey BBQ ingredients and whisk until well combined. Pour the sauce mixture over the wings and toss until all the wings are coated with sauce.
Cook for 3 hours on low. If you want to thicken the sauce, remove wings from slow cooker, mix cornstarch with 2 Tbl. water, turn crock pot to high and slurry cornstarch into the sauce. It should take about 15 minutes.
To broil, put foil on a baking sheet, place cooked wings on cooling racks on baking sheet. Broil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Serving Suggestions
These were good dipped in the ranch dressing. I did not broil them.
