     Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients
6 tablespoons butter
1 tbsp garlic
2 tbsp flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp nutmeg
black pepper to taste
salt to taste
 
fettuccine
1 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped

Instructions
Bring large pot of water to boil, add fettuccini and cook according to package instructions. In the meantime start making the sauce.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 40-50 seconds or until fragrant. Whisk in flour, reduce heat to low and cook, stirring until flour and butter froth together, about 2 minutes. Add milk and heavy cream, whisking vigorously to blend liquid and roux. Bring to boil. The sauce will start to thicken.
Stir in parmesan cheese, whisking constantly until cheese melts. Season with salt and pepper and nutmeg. Drain noodles and add to saucepan with the sauce. Mix until well combined. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
