3/4 cup buttermilk - recipe at bottom to make your own
1 cup all- purpose flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 Tablespoons butter melted
Instructions
1. How to make buttermilk. In a one cup measuring
cup put 1 Tablespoon white vinegar then add enough
regular milk to make one cup.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour,
sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, egg and
melted butter.
4. Whisk the milk mixture and four mixture
together until no large lumps remain. If adding
blueberries, Chocolate chips, etc, stir in now.
Heat greased skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Pour 1/4 cup portions of batter and cook until
bubbles appear on surface. Flip and cook until
golden brown on the second side.
