Cut ham into 1/2 inch cubes and set aside. Add the beans, diced
tomatoes with juice, celery, garlic, chicken broth and water to a large
saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on medium for 5
minutes.
Remove lid and addd the pasta. Return to a boil and cook,
uncovered, for about 8 minutes, or until the past is cooked. Add the
ham, olive oil and basil and remove from heat.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Put into two soup bowls and sprinkle
with Parmesan cheese.
Thiis was the right amount for two people. It needed a little italian
seasoning, or use tomatoes with garlic and oregano.
