Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 16- ounce caned tomatoes, cut up
1 6-ounce caned tomatoe paste
2 teaspoons brown suger
1 1/2teaspoons dried oregano, crushed
1 teaspoon salt
 
1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
2 bay leafs
1 1/2 cups water

Instructions
In a large pot cook meat, onion, green pepper, and garlic till meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Keep cooking till the fat is burned off. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomatoe paste, brown suger, oregano, salt, basil, thyme, a bay leafs. Stir in the water.
Bring to boil then reduce heat. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours uncovered. Stir occasionally.
Remove bay leaf and green pepper. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti
