Begin heating oil. It should be about 1 inch deep. I make one at a time in a small frying pan. Oil should be hot enough that water will skip on top when a drop is droped in
Measure all dry ingredients into a bowl and set aside

mix milk and eggs together, beat well. Gradually add to flour mixture. Beat until smooth. Should be about the consistancy of pancake batter.

Have a funnel with a medium opening and put your finger covering the opening. pour about a half cup of batter into funnel. When you have the funnel over the hot oil move finger. I have found that moving the funnel like you are making a flower design is the best. You put a center then move it like you are drawing petals. Making petals in layers out from the first. Do this until all batter is gone from funnel.

When one side is brown. Turn and brown other side. Remove to paper towels and sprinkel with powder sugar. Enjoy
