     Thick and Tangy Chili

Ingredients
2 pounds hamburger
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 16 ounce cans Mexican-styled tomatoes
4 16 ounce cans chili beans
3 16 ounce cans tomato sauce
4 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon ground cumin seeds
 
pinch cayenne pepper
dash or crushed red pepper

Instructions
Pan fry hamburger over medium heat. Add onion and garlic when hamburger is about half-way done. Drain fat from hamburger.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for about 2 hours on low heat.
Serving Suggestions
Add chopped fresh onion or grated cheddar cheese to top of chili. Serve with rice or saltine crackers.
