Melt butter. Add onions and cook until golden. Blend in flour. Add broth, cream, salt & pepper & poultry seasoning; cook over low heat, stirring until thickened.
Place a layer of drained noodles in a buttered 2 quart casserole dish. Cover with a layer of diced chicken and a layer of sauce. Repeat. Finish with a layer of noodles. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
