     Manhattan Clam Chowder

Ingredients
2 cups chopped onion
2 - 14 oz cans tomatoe
32 oz. clamato juice
1/2 lb lean bacon
3/4 cup chopped celery (includ tops)
5 cups raw potatoe
32 oz can clams chopped
1/2 tsp thyme
1 Tbls chopped parsley
 
1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions
Cook bacon till crisp and drain. In 2 tbls bacon fat cook celery,onion, potatoes. Cook till potatoes are tender. Add clam juice and clamato add clams last just to heat.
