Melt syrup, sugar and marg in a pan. Stir in beaten egg when cooled. Sift in flour, ginger and bicarb. Stir until forming a dough. Make into small balls and place, well-spaced, on baking tray.
Bake for 10 minutes at 160 degrees C. Take out, slam tray on side to make crackling effect on biscuits.
