     Amber Williams’ Chocolate Chip Cookies

Servings   6 doz

Mix together:
4 c. flour
1 c. oats
˝ c. shredded coconut
2 t. baking soda
Cream together:
2 c. shortening or butter
˝ c. peanut butter
1 ˝ c. white sugar
1 ˝ c. brown sugar
2 t. vanilla
4 large eggs
4 c. chocolate chips
1 c. slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together dry ingredients and set aside. Cream together butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs. Slowly add dry ingredients to creamy mixture. When fully combined, add chips and almonds. Bake for 8-10 or until just turning brown on top. Best if baked on stoneware.
Serving Suggestions
freeze dough in sandwich bags and defrost and cook as needed.
