     Gramma's Famous Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
3 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 1/3 cup water.....Stir to mix all above well
2 cups RAW spanish peanuts
2 Tbls butter
 

Instructions
Bring above to hard boil and cover and boil 5 min. Uncover and cook to soft ball stag and then add the raw spanish peanuts and butter. Cook to hard crack stage. Add a round Tbls.of soda. Take off stove and beat until you can spread on 2 buttered pans. (After adding nuts & butter keep stirring as nuts sink to bottom and burn. Cover 2 cookie trays w/heavy foil and butter lightly. Easier to pick up brittle and crack. When poured on cookie tray spread as much as you can ot edges of pan. Do not make on a cloudy or rainy day!
